Jack Scogna

Jack is truly a
“Jack of All Trades”. His music career began with an undergraduate
degree in Music Education from nearby West Chester University, (1972).
He was a high school band director for 9 years (in the PA public school
system) while earning the degree of Master of Music (composition)
from Temple University, (1981). Private teaching, instrument repair, and
piano tuning were summertime diversions during those years but,
ultimately, these skills were to become a full-time replacement for
public school teaching. He later completed the extensive testing
procedures to become a Registered Craftsman with the Piano Technicians
Guild. From 1997-2004, Jack was head piano technician / tuner with
Taylor’s Music Store-keyboard division in West Chester, PA and has done
tuning, repairs, and rebuilding for 6 other area music stores as well.
Since 1972, piano work has occupied a very large part of Jack's
life. In his ‘spare’ time, Jack enjoys bowling. Recently, his life-long
dream of a perfect 300 game was missed by one pin, but he insists that a
"299" tells a "more interesting story"!
Lois D. Scogna

Lois currently wears several hats and is
the master juggler of our piano tuning/repair schedule. Her secretarial duties
include scheduling, invoicing, managing the customer files, customer
relations, paying bills, website development, parts ordering, and
ordering the boss around. A 1980 magna cum laude graduate of West
Chester University, Lois was a voice major/piano minor. She taught elementary music in the Pennsylvania and New
Jersey public school systems for 6 years. For 14 years, Lois has taught private music lessons. She is currently accepting adult students only. (Domestic
duties fill
the rest of her “free” time.) Since settling in Chester County in 1993 her focus has
been on her children, her lesson students, and managing our piano business!
